The Landscape Pattern Evolution of Typical Open-Pit Coal Mines Based on Land Use in Inner Mongolia of China during 20 Years

As the province most abundant in mineral resources China, Inner Mongolia has more than 200 open-pit coal mines. The mining activities seriously hinder sustainable use of regional land and improvement residents’ wellbeing. Taking 13 typical mines as study area, combining remote sensing images Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform, trend features spatial temporal evolution landscape patterns from 2001 to 2020 were analyzed by transfer matrix pattern index methods. According plan reclamation measures “Land Reclamation Plan”, impacts ecological restoration projects on land-use structure evaluated. results showed that following: (1) types areas mainly grassland, cropland, industrial landscapes. change was obvious over past 20 years, changes grassland relatively large, which decreased 56.51 km2 increased 60.42 km2, respectively. (2) Land had positive changes. With transformation beginning 2007, nearly 70% area a decreasing fragmentation, indicating better area. (3) Positive policy orientation mine promoted reasonable patterns.
